A Norfolk pensioner has been charged with dozens of sexual offences against boys dating back to the early 1980s.

65 year old Martin Daniels, of North Walsham Road in Banningham, is facing a total of 33 charges said to have happened between 1980 and 1994.

He appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court earlier today (July 28) and was released on bail.

He has been charged with:

- 12 counts of indecent assault on a boy aged under 14 between 15 July 1980 and 8 March 1991.

- 11 counts of indecent assault on a boy aged under the age of 16 between 15 July 1982 and 18 February 1994.

- 6 counts of gross indecency with a boy aged under 14 years between 19 February 1985 and 8 March 1992.

- 4 counts of buggery with a boy aged under 16 between 19 February 1985 and 18 February 1994.

As the offences are historical, police have brought charges in line with the law at the time.
