Farmers across Norfolk are telling us the sector's future looks "exciting", but that Artificial Intelligence needs further development, before it can play a key role.

It comes on the second and final day of this year's Royal Norfolk Show - which is expected to attract over 80 thousand people to the showground, in total.

"That really excites me"

Dr Zoe Leach is the East's regional director for the National Farmers Union: "Farming is changing and it's not as old and traditional as it used it be.

"It's now very technical work.

"While AI is helping to relieve some labour issues, there are other areas like livestock keeping where you can't replace a stockman with a robot."

Nick Deane, farms near Hoveton: "I was at Cereals arable event two weeks ago and they're now talking about a robotic unit that can weed between sugar-beat and it'll work 24-7 before it recharges itself.

"That really excites me!"
