The sentencing of Wayne Couzens for the murder of Sarah Everard, needs to be the start of serious change.

That's according to Rhys Lloyd from the Norwich-based domestic abuse charity, Leeway.

He told us that while the Police need to take a lead on this, everybody has "an important role to play".

"You need to see a strong stance against this type of behaviour and obviously punishments that reflects that. But also I think there needs to be better education, awareness and training around these issues, so they the police need to understand how women feel and what makes them feel unsafe."

"But, I think this goes for everyone. It's about calling out bad behaviour and knowing that certain actions are wrong and telling people that they just can't do thing like that."

Mr Lloyd concluded by saying that this ruling will help shine a light on women's safety, something that's been overlooked in the past:

"We've heard quite a lot in recent months about how women don't feel safe in Norfolk and I think the ruling will help them feel that action has been taken. But it certainly isn't the definitive end to it all".
