Norfolk biker club and brewery unite to commemorate 40th Falklands War Anniversary
A 'Ride of Respect' is taking place, along with a special one-off pale ale brewed locally
Norfolk’s Harley Davidson’s Club are taking part in a ride from King’s Lynn to Great Yarmouth to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War, today.
It's an chance for members and others veterans to come together with one purpose; to remember the fallen.
The memorial drive will commence from the main Rendezous (RV) at the Shell Services, Kings Lynn on the 12th June at 11.30am and end at Great Yarmouth’s Grange Smoke House where visitors can enjoy music and refreshments.

Andy Round is a member of the club and an ex Royal Engineer.
“We will commemorate this special occasion by conducting a ride of respect to all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and to those who have since passed from PTSD related issues.”
The ride will also support Walking with the Wounded, a charity which provides a wide range of services to support those who have served, and their families.
Andy added; “It is important that these anniversaries are remembered not only to the fallen but also on an educational basis.”
It is not only the Harley Davidson group who are doing their bit to commemorate the anniversary. Moon Gazer Ale have created an ale to mark the occasion in support of Norfolk’s Harley Davidson riders and their ride of respect.
"It's something that we really wanted to get behind"
David Holliday co-owns the company and told us a bit more about what he's made and they got involved:
"It's light amber in colour and we used some hops called 'epic' and 'pioneer' because we thought that it's an epic journey that the rider of respect goes on, so we wanted something that was reflective of what they are doing on the bikes and the message they are trying to get out there.
"For beer lovers that just want to raise a glass to the Falkland heroes- it's just a nice, easy-drinking, fruity pale ale that will go down very easily in the sunshine.
"It's something that we really wanted to get behind. It's a nice touch and gesture- we really want to support the Harley riders that help make people remember the fallen".
"The beer is in around 35 pubs in Norfolk. We just encourage people who are unable to see the 'Ride of Respect' to pop into your local pub, raise a glass of respect and remember those who have fallen".
