The RNLI is warning people visiting a Norfolk beach to stay away from a new sandbar which has formed out into the North Sea.

The natural feature between Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham has been created over the past few months by the natural movements of the sea.

Wells RNLI say anyone who walks out onto it at low tide is at risk of being cut off hours before high tide.

Walkers need to be back on the main beach at least four hours before the tide is at its highest point to be safe.

11 people have already been cut off in the area over the past year.

The RNLI has issued this warning

If you're caught out by the high tide or spot anyone else in danger, call 999 and ask for the coastguard.
