The Norfolk and Norwich Hospitals Charity are still looking for runners to help them raise money.

The Charity's got twenty-five spaces to fill and is looking for each runner to raise a minimum of £250, to celebrate their 250th anniversary.

Louise Cook is head of fundraising for the charity and says there's plenty of reasons to get involved in the London landmarks half-marathon:

"We ask that those who attend put forward a £30 admin fee, so we know that you are committed. The race in is April, so it's going to be really good fun. You get up close to St. Pauls Cathedral along with a range of other buildings and you end up at Westminster. It's a lot different to the London Marathon and I've found it to be a really warm and tactile event in the past."

She also told us the charity's got a proud history and the money raised for it's anniversary will go along way:

"250 years ago the hospital was created from the great and the good of Norwich and Norfolk. Since then the hospital has changed many times and of course the NHS was established in the 1940s. But now the charity here is really important, we try and go above and beyond what the NHS does and recently we've been fundraising for a new orthopedic centre that will benefit local people.

It's an 11.4 million centre at the hospital and we're looking to provide medical equipment that will make it a different and innovative centre. We've also funded the artwork for it, to make it less intimidating and less scary for children when they go into theatre. So all these sort of things really make a big difference to the patients that come into the hospital".
