Norfolk aerospace company have 'bold' plans for spaceport in East Anglia
Gravitilab are planning to provide commercial launches from 2024
An aerospace company in Norfolk have told us they have "bold and radical plans" for a Spaceport in East Anglia.
The idea's still in it's very early stages, but Gravitilab say they're planning to provide commercial launches from 2024.
This will all depend on if their first prototype test- scheduled for the end of this year- is a success.

Rob Adlard is their CEO.
He told us why we've got a domestic space race in progress:
"The reason why regions are so interested in this is because the Space sector is a high-growth industry and is very productive.
"Statistically the average employee in the space sector has three times productivity of other sectors.
"Any government is going to focus on high-growth areas, especially with the UK struggling with it's productivity".
"They produce high-quality jobs and they intersect with everything else. So our potential customers and collaborators are places the University of East Anglia, John Innes Centre. So we can bring things together and also help to bring people to the region".
