More clubs & coaches will take girls football to next level- Norfolk coach
North Walsham's Lauren Hemp and England will be looking to book their place in the final of the tournament again, this evening
A football coach in Norfolk says more coaches and buy-in from more clubs will help take girls football to the next level.
This evening Italy stand in the way of Lauren Hemp and England reaching the final of the woman's Euros on Sunday.
Germany or Spain await the winner. England kick-off is at 8pm.
"I think the Lionesses will put in a good performance tonight"
Duncan Rumbelow is from Motive8 Sports Coaching and runs 'Wildcat sessions across the county:
"You can literally see the confident growing in every single session that they do. That's something that isn't just for football but transcends into school and life, more generally.
"Girls for the first time can now see a route in the female pathway from the bottom upwards that goes through many local teams across the county and beyond.
"Beyond that they can also relate to players that are now playing professionally. This is clearly helped by the fact that the Lionesses sometimes play at Carrow Road.
"I think the Lionesses will put in a good performance tonight. Italy are a good side and they will have to do well to beat them. However, I can see them getting into the final with Spain".
