A flash flood just before Christmas caused Kenninghall Post Office to be temporarily closed.

A Mobile Post Office service is being introduced to help restore Post Office services.

Whilst repair work is being carried out to the Post Office at Market Place, Kenninghall, Norwich, NR16 2AH, a Mobile Post Office will visit the community every Tuesday from 12 noon to 2pm.

This service, provided by the Postmaster for Stanton, will stop near to the Post Office.

Graham Simmons, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said:

"We are delighted to be providing a Mobile Post Office to restore service as we know how important a Post Office is to a community. We are supporting our Postmaster who is working hard to re-open his shop and Post Office as soon as possible and it is hoped that the Post Office can re-open in a month's time."

Around 30 homes were also badly affected by the flood.
