Four men to face no further action after death of Norfolk man

Four men have been told they will face no further action by detectives investigating the death of a man in Loddon.

Neil McGibbon, aged 58, suffered serious, life-threatening injuries following an altercation in Bridge Street near to the Kings Head pub on Friday 10 November 2023.

He died in hospital on Monday 13 November.

Five men aged in their 20s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. They were released on bail until today (Wednesday 7 February 2024).

One of those men has now had his bail extended to 22 March 2024 pending further enquiries. The other four have been released without charge.

A man in his 50s, who was arrested on Sunday 12 November on suspicion of assault in connection with the incident has been released under investigation.
