Man from Mundesley jailed for headbutting a police officer
A man's been sentenced to 20 weeks in prison for assaulting a police officer.
Martin Bamford, who's 34 and from Trafalgar Court, admitted to assaulting an emergency worker, driving whilst disqualified and without insurance, and failing to provide a specimen.
Norwich Magistrate's Court heard how Bamford headbutted a police officer whilst being escorted at the Aylsham Police Investigation Centre on Saturday 7th November.
The officer suffered minor injuries.
The assault came after Bamford's arrest for driving offences on Cromer Road in Mundesley.
