Man in hospital after incident in Dereham

A man is in hospital after falling from a building in Dereham on Sunday night.

Police were initially called to Quebec Street at 7.35pm following reports a man was being aggressive towards people in the street.

Windows were later smashed and furniture was thrown onto the street, damaging parked cars. Shortly after 8.30pm a man fell from a window, suffering head and leg injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

The man, aged in his 30s, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and affray and will be taken to custody for questioning once he has received all necessary treatment.
