39-year-old Andrew Forbes has pleaded guilty to the murder of 40-year-old Daniel Littlewood, whose body was discovered in Clapham Woods on 22nd June 2020 with severe head injuries.

The court heard how Forbes, of Crome Road in Norwich, had been living at the same address with Daniel and had been out together late the previous evening.

They were last seen by a female friend on Aylsham Road after midnight, who Forbes later called to say he had killed someone.

He then returned to his home address and told another person, and police were called just before 4.45am.

Officers arrived and Forbes admitted killing Daniel Littlewood, and said he would direct them to his body, but police made the discovery a short time later.

He pleaded guilty at Norwich Crown Court today, 3rd December, and will be sentenced on Tuesday 19th January 2021.

Chief Inspector Phil Gray said: "Forbes made no secret of his brutal actions from the outset. This was a shocking and unprovoked attack on someone he would have regarded as a friend.

"Our thoughts remain with Mr Littlewood’s family and I am pleased that today's plea means they will not have to endure the ordeal of a trial."
