Man dies in crash in Besthorpe

It happened at 12.48pm yesterday on the A11 Norwich Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Besthorpe.

The collision happened at 12.48pm yesterday, on the A11 Norwich Road, when a black Ford Puma ST collided with a man standing outside of a vehicle.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene, including ambulance and air ambulance.

Sadly, the man, who was aged in his 30s, died at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Puma, a man aged in his late teens, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has since been released on bail until 5 December 2025.

The road reopened at around 10pm.
