Man in his 70s dies in house fire in Norwich

An investigation is underway.

A man in his 70s has died following a house fire in Norwich.

Emergency services were called to a property on Spynke Road shortly before 1:30pm on 6th November.

Despite their efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Norfolk Police have confirmed that the death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious at this stage.

A cordon remains in place around the property while fire investigators work to establish the cause of the blaze.

Enquiries are ongoing.
