Man in his 60s dies after crashing into the South Gate

A man has died after a crash at Southgates in the early morning of Good Friday.

The man, who was in his 60s, was the driver of a grey Mazda MX-5, when it hit the South Gate on London Road, in King's Lynn just before 4am on April 2.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead shortly after.

The road was temporarily closed in both directors between Southgates roundabout and the junction with Windsor Terrace, as well as a number of side streets.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision, the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the incident, or from anyone who may have captured the incident on dash-cam.
