Man charged with series of burglaries in Martham

A 59 year old man has been charged over several break-ins earlier this month

A man has been charged after a series of burglaries in Martham earlier this month.

The first happened at a garage on Repps Road, between June 4 and 7, with tools being taken.

On June 12 a resident of Cress Road found an unknown man inside her home. He spoke to the victim, before taking money.

Between June 11 and 12 a window was forced open on Oak Tree Close, with cash and a vehicle being taken.

The vehicle was later recovered by police.

59 year old Tony Whiting, of Repps Road, is accused of three counts of burglary, as well as possession of cannabis.

He's been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Norwich Crown Court on July 12.
