Man charged with criminal damage after climbing onto building in King's Lynn

He was sat on the roof for around five hours.

A man has been charged with criminal damage and a public order offence after an incident in King's Lynn on Sunday evening (21 April 2024).

Emergency services were called including police, fire and ambulance at 9.50pm and a police negotiator was on scene after reports a man had scaled a building in Lynn Road and damaged the roof with items being thrown off the building.

The incident was safely resolved at 3.25am yesterday (22 April).

A man in his 30s was arrested following the incident and taken to King's Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Kieren Russell, 33, of Heapham Crescent, Lincolnshire, has been charged with criminal damage and a public order offence in connection with the incident.

He has been bailed to appear at King's Lynn Magistrates' Court on 13 June 2024.
