Man charged following fatal crash in North Elmham

A man in his 20's has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving

A man from Norfolk has been charged following a fatal crash in North Elmham last year.

Officers received reports that a silver ford fiesta had collided with a tree in the early hours of Saturday 17th September 2022.

Emergency services arrived at the scene on the B1110, between the B1145 junction and Hall Road.

One of the passengers, 19-year-old Mariana Faustino-Valente was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

Sadly, she died two days later on Monday 19th September 20222.

Two men were arrested in connection with the incident. Both were questioned by police before being released on bail.

Teegan Brabent, aged 22 and of Litcham Road, Mileham has now been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing bodily harm by wanton/furious driving.

He is due to appear at King’s Lynn Crown Court on 22nd February 2024.

No further action is being taken against the other man who was arrested.
