Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Costessey
Two people were taken to hospital with serious, but not life threatening injuries.
A man will appear in court this morning charged with attempted murder.
It follows an incident in Costessey when officers were called to Blackhill Wood Lane at 4.15pm on Monday 26 August following reports a man had been stabbed.
When officers arrived they found a man in his 40s with knife wounds and a woman in her 30s with head and arm injuries.
Both victims were taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
A man was arrested and was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning. The suspect and victims were known to each other.
Rutendo Matsika, age 32, of Church Road, Griston, has subsequently been charged with attempted murder, GBH with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a bladed article.
He is due to attend Norwich Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 28 August).
