Norwich man charged with assaulting police officers following A11 crash

The 23-year-old is due in court next month (August 2024)

A man has been charged with assaulting three police officers in Attleborough on Friday evening (5 July 2024).

Police were called to reports of a two vehicle collision on the A11 at Attleborough just before 10pm on Friday.

A man in his 20s was arrested shortly after on Peacock Way on suspicion of drink driving, careless driving and assaulting an emergency worker.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released under investigation for the driving offences.

Subsequently, Jericho Baker, 23, of Drakes Close, Norwich has been charged with failing to provide a specimen for testing, three counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of resisting an arrest.

He has been bailed to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on 27 August 2024.
