Man charged after passengers threatened on bus in Norwich

Passengers were threatened on an Excel service from Norwich to Peterborough last week

A man has been charged after an incident on a bus in Norwich last week during which passengers were threatened.

It happened at around 1:45pm on Thursday (October 13) on an Excel service to Peterborough.

After approaching a number of passengers the man left the bus and walked along Newmarket Road.

He later stole a woman's phone before pulling out a knife when challenged on Grove Avenue.

31 year old Marcus Cork, of Northgate in Hunstanton, has been charged with three counts of robbery, one count of criminal damage, one count of threatening someone with a weapon and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.

He's been remanded in custody until an appearance at Norwich Crown Court on November 14.
