Cambridgeshire Police said a 69-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of the murder of 86-year-old Una Crown in January 2013.

The retired postmistress was found dead in her bungalow in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, after her throat was slit and her body set on fire.

The force said the man, also from Wisbech, remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station in Peterborough.

An inquest into Ms Crown's death in 2015 heard Cambridgeshire Police missed "clear signs" of her murder during an initial investigation in which officers believed she had died in an accident.
