Man arrested after Bank Holiday assault in Dereham

The victim was knocked out and suffered a broken eye socket

A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of GBH, after a serious assault in Dereham.

Police were called to Quebec Street last Bank Holiday Monday (April 10) after 1am, finding a man had been knocked unconscious.

He was treated at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital for a fractured eye scoket.

The suspect, who's from the Dereham area, has been bailed.

Police are now urging witnesses to get in touch.
