Lowestoft Lifeboat's escorts Royal Navy Bomb Disposal Team out to sea
The lifeboat was called out this weekend to help.
Lowestoft Lifeboat has tweeted to say it was called out on Sunday 14th February to take Royal Navy divers from Portsmouth out to sea to deal with two 'unexploded wartime projectiles'.
They went out in force seven winds, with 2-3 metre swell, to where a dredger had accidentally brought the shells up from the seabed.
It confirmed that they were safely lowered back to the sea floor and marked for disposal at a later date.
