A baby loss group in Lowestoft is raising money and awareness for mothers and families affected, this month.

Angels and Rainbows are walking ten thousands steps and doing one hundred squats every day, as part of Baby Loss Awareness Month.

Natasha Garforth lost her baby, Catarina, three years ago and says it's been really tough:

"I'm not the same person now. I used to be into my fitness, very out-going and a bit of a party animal. Now, I barely go out and suffer from PTSD, anxiety and depression. I'm basically a shell of what I was now".

She went on to say that groups like this are immensely important for women who are coming to terms with losing a baby:

"If we didn't have this support group in Lowestoft, the closest one would be Norwich. When you've been through something like that, it really hits your confidence."

"There is no way that I would be able to drive over to Norwich myself and sit in a room to talk to people about all this".

She told us that pregnant women should be made more awareness of all this:

"A lot of people are worried about making them anxious and making them worried about the outcome of their pregnancies.

"But one thing I found was that I wish I had of known more about it, because it would have affected the decisions I made, if I'd of thought about it more before it happened and realised that it could be something that happened to us, because I've got a lot of regrets."

Justine Maher, the founder of the group says the support they give local people is exclusively funded by the public generosity:

"We want to make sure we get to people as soon as they get that awful news. The only way we can continue to do that, to offer support packages and provide therapy. Is thanks to money from the public, so every penny really counts".
