A Norfolk-based charity that supports bereaved British forces children has launched a campaign to reach those who aren't getting the support they need.
The project that's been set up by Scotty’s Little Soldiers, who are based in King's Lynn, is being headed by former head of the British army, Lord Richard Dannatt.
"We owe it to these servicemen and women to look out for their children"
He says it's a chance to make a real difference to people's lives: "If you have any connection at all to the military community, you have the opportunity to make a difference.
"Tell your friends and contacts about Scotty's Little Soldiers and ask them to tell their friends so we can help them find their children.
"Their parents served our country and regardless of the cause of their death, we owe it to these servicemen and women to look out for their children.
"The impact this can all have on these young people can be profound and without adequate support challenges faced as a consequence of their parents death can spiral out of control."
"We need your help to reach more bereaved military families who might be struggling alone"
He says the facilities and resources are there for those that need it: "Scotty's makes a massive difference to these children and young people, who become part of a supportive community that keeps them connected to the military, as well as other young people who are in a similar situation.
"There is so much incredible support available from Scotty's Little Soldiers, but we need your help to reach more bereaved military families who might be struggling alone."
