Man in 50's in critical condition after assault in Norfolk town

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 50's was left in a critical condition after an attack in Loddon town centre.

The incident happened near the Kings Head Pub on Bridge Street on Friday night (10 November). The man suffered serious injuries after an assault which took place at around 9:30pm.

The victim suffered a serious head injury and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by ambulance, where he remains in a critical condition.

In a statement, Norfolk police said:

Five men in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of assault (GBH) and are being questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in contact with DS Mike Cox at Broadland CID on 101 quoting crime reference 36/80074/23.
