Lewis Dobbin signs for Norwich on loan from Aston Villa
The 21-year-old winger spent the first half of the season with West Bromwich Albion, making 17 Sky Bet Championship appearances.
Norwich City have completed the loan signing of Lewis Dobbin from Aston Villa until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old winger spent the first half of the season with West Bromwich Albion, making 17 Sky Bet Championship appearances.
He will wear the number 22 shirt while at the club.
On signing for City, Dobbin said: "It's a big opportunity, I'm excited. I didn't have the first four or so months that I wanted this season so I'm eager to impress.
"The head coach has been really welcoming, he's got a clear vision for me. Hopefully, we'll have some success this season."
Norwich City sporting director Ben Knapper added: “We’re really pleased to add Lewis to our group and we’re excited to work with him for the remainder of the season.
“He adds some real pace to our attack and is able to play across all front line positions, providing flexibility to the way in which we can set up.
“We’re all really looking forward to working with him in what will hopefully be a strong second half of the season for us all.”
The Stoke-on-Trent native began his career at Everton where he would eventually make 20 first-team appearances, including 15 in the Premier League.
He spent the 2022/23 season on loan at Derby County, making 54 appearances with 11 goals and assists.
Dobbin was purchased by Aston Villa during the 2024 summer transfer window but has yet to play for his new parent club.
