A large fire has broken out at a primary school in Gorleston-on-Sea this afternoon.

Fire crews from multiple stations rushed to Ormiston Cliff Park Infant Academy at around 1:15pm.

The school was evacuated, with no reports of injuries, and firefighters are now working to thoroughly dampen down the remaining hot spots.

The cause of the blaze remains unknown at this time, but a full investigation has been launched.

Head of Operations at Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, Paul Seaman, said: "We will remain on scene and do whatever is required to support the school and the local community to a full recovery following this incident."
