Woman jailed after tipping pensioner out of mobility scooter in King's Lynn
She'll spend 12 weeks behind bars
A woman has been jailed after tipping a pensioner out of his mobility scooter in King's Lynn after he refused to give her money.
The victim, a man in his 70s, was approached by Amy Kirkbride on Norfolk Street on Saturday (July 8) at around 5:15pm.
After being refused money the 29 year old, of Hillington Square, lifted the scooter and tipped him off.
Kirkbride was assisted by a man; 46 year old Gary Hammond, also of Hillington Square.
The victim suffered a scrape to his arm and needed checks in hospital.
Both perpetrators walked away from the scene but were later arrested with Kirkbride kicking officers while being detained.
Kirkbride admitted assault by beating, two charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker, and threatening behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at King's Lynn Magistrates' Court on Monday (July 10).
She will spend 12 weeks in prison and will have to pay ÂŁ100 in compensation.
Hammond admitted to assault by beating, common assault of an emergency worker, and using threatening behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on Monday at Norwich Magistrates' Court.
He will be sentenced in September.
