A special service of commemoration is due to be held at King's Lynn Minster later this week, in honour of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Members of the public are being invited to attend the event, which is due to start at around 6pm on Friday (September 16).

The service will also be broadcast outside the minster, as spaces in the church are expected to be limited.

Mayor Councillor Lesley Bambridge will attend the ceremony, which will be led by the Reverend Canon Dr Mark Dimond.

The event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the life of Queen Elizabeth II and her special connection with the county of Norfolk.

The Minster will remain open for the national minute's silence at 8pm on Sunday (September 18).
