King's Lynn Stars have been forced to postpone their opening fixture in speedway's Knockout Cup due to the weather.

The Adrian Flux circuit is currently waterlogged, meaning the visit of Sheffield has been postponed.

No new date has been announced for the fixture.

Stars will next hit the track at Wolverhampton on Monday night, as they get their Premiership campaign underway.

Polish star Krzysztof Kasprzak is set to make his debut for Stars this season, while Michael Palm Toft has returned to the side after spending two years with Peterborough.

Stars retained five riders from the end of the 2022 season including skipper Josh Pickering.

The King's Lynn side face a revamped Premiership division this season, with the addition of Leicester Lions to the sport's top flight.
