King's Lynn Winter Night Shelter re-opens to support those struggling

Kings Lynn's Winter Night Shelter has re-opened to help those struggling.
The West-Norfolk charity has been providing the only temporary accommodation in the town, since 2017.
The charity say they will remain open until the end of June, 2022.
Lucy McKitterick, the groups co-ordinator told us that they will continue to be completely dependent on donations.
"Last year, 100 per cent of the food we provided our guests came from food donations. That includes breakfast, lunch and dinner".
"We publish a list of what we need on our website and Facebook pages. So if people want to donate they can look at the list, see what we need and drop off a couple pints of milk".
She also told us that the local picture has improved, thanks to initiatives like the 'Everybody In' campaign.
"There has been a huge amount of progress in the local area, but there is still a long way to go. People become homeless all the time for a huge variety of reasons".
"That's nobody's fault as there's many different needs that contribute to homelessness. What we can change is what we do about it, we can make sure there's a safety net in place"
She concluded by telling us that this programme is designed to help instil confidence in people, who need it.
"The welcome that we give people, the way we have done up the building, the kindness of the volunteers and the lovely hot meals".
"All of that says to the person that works in the door, that may have been on the street for weeks and weeks, you matter".
"You're important to us and we want you to believe yourself that you're important as well".
