Woman charged with murder after death of woman in King's Lynn

She was found stabbed on Saturday

A woman's been charged with murder following the death of a woman in King's Lynn at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to an address on Highgate at around 12.30am on Saturday 16th April after a woman in her 50s was found with serious injuries.

She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she died from her injuries.

A post-mortem established she died from being stabbed in the abdomen.

The victim has been provisionally identified as Dace Kalkerte, who's 50 and from the town.

Three people, two men and a woman, were arrested in connection with the death.

Birute Klicneliene, who's 50 and from Sir Lewis Street has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Norwich Magistrates' Court this morning.

The two men, who were arrested in connection with the death have been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police say they believe those involved were known to each other.

A cordon is expected to remain in place at the scene over the next few days.
