Weather warning for ice across East of England but warmer conditions expected next week
We're expecting icy conditions on Sunday, with the cold snap due lift early next week
We're being warned of icy conditions over this weekend, with a yellow weather warning for ice in space for Sunday across the East of England.
The Met Office says we can expect rain and wintry showers leading to further ice building up on local roads and pavements.
The warning comes into force at 3am on Sunday (December 18), lasting until 2pm.
Some disruption to public transport is possible and we're being urged to be careful if driving or walking.
It will cap off a cold snap that has brought sub-zero temperatures to Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex over the past week.
Gritters have been out in force across all three counties to keep the roads clear of snow and ice.
Icy conditions also led to fixtures for King's Lynn Town and Southend United being called off last weekend.
However we can expect warmer weather again in the week up to Christmas, with the Arctic blast losing its grip across the UK.
Conditions are expected to be wet and windy, with highs of 11C or 12C across the East of England on Monday.
