Human remains identified in Wisbech

Norfolk Police have confirmed that human remains found in Wisbech last month have now been identified.

Officers were called to Lynn Road, Walton Highway, on Sunday 18 May, following reports that partial human remains had been found by a member of the public.

The force say following detailed forensic examination and analysis, they have established the identity of the remains. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the next of kin.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
