Two pensioners have died following a crash in High Kelling.

It happened at 4.20pm on Sunday (22nd December) on the A148 at the junction with Avenue Road, when a white BMW Mini One collided with two pedestrians.

Sadly the pedestrians, a man and a woman, both in their 80s, died at the scene.

Police have arrested the driver of the BMW, a man in his 50s, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or how the BMW was being driven before the crash.
