Great Yarmouth man jailed for Class A drug dealing
He'll spend three years behind bars

Jamie King, aged 38 of Apsley Road, Great Yarmouth appeared at Norwich Crown Court last week (Wednesday 26 April 2023) after pleading guilty to three counts of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, namely heroin and crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.
CCTV enquiries identified a man who was believed to be drug dealing in the Great Yarmouth area on Wednesday 9 November 2022. On Monday 14 November 2022, plain clothed officers spotted a man, who they believed to be King, who matched the man’s description walking in the local area. King was arrested at his home address later that day.
During a search, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of class A drugs and was then arrested. He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre where his mobile phone and a quantity of cash were seized and was questioned before being released on bail with conditions to report to police on a regular basis.
After failing to adhere to his bail conditions, police visited King’s home address on Monday 27 March 2023 and detained him. During his arrest, police seized a further quantity of class A drugs and he was charged with four counts of possession of a class A drug with intent to supply.
King was sentenced to three years in prison.
Neighbourhood Policing Sergeant, Samuel Scott said: “Drug dealing has a hugely detrimental impact on our local communities and can have devastating effects on people’s lives.
“We will continue to work to disrupt those who choose to sell drugs in our county and hope that this sentence allows for those living in Norfolk to feel safer.”
