Teenage girl in hospital with life threatening injuries after Hockwold crash

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Hockwold.

The incident occurred at 3.01pm on Wednesday 21 February when a red Mini One collided with a white Scania bin lorry on the B1112 Station Road at the junction with Cowles Drove.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene including ambulance, air ambulance and fire.

The passenger of the Mini, a teenage girl, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital with life threatening injuries, where she remains.

The driver of the Mini, a man in his late teens, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who have relevant dashcam footage.
