Former Sizewell-based police officer convicted of assault

A police officer once based at the Sizewell nuclear power station in Suffolk has been convicted of assault.

42 year old Jason Corley, of Oaklands in Framingham Earl, was found guilty by a jury at Norwich Crown Court last week (July 7) of assaulting a woman occasioning actual bodily harm.

The incident happened in Norfolk on September 26 2020.

Corley was serving with the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, a service which is responsble for securing the UK's nuclear sites, at the time.

He will return to Norwich Crown Court on September 18 for sentencing.
