Former Norwich Theatre Royal boss Peter Wilson dies aged 72
He was Chief Executive of the Norwich landmark between 1992 and 2016

Peter Wilson, who was Chief Executive of the Norwich Theatre Royal for around a quarter of a century, has died. He was 72.
Peter was also a prolific producer on London's West End, best known for adaptations of The Woman in Black and An Inspector Calls.
He received a prestigious Olivier Award for his work on The Woman in Black.
He took over a the Theatre Royal at a precarious time in its history when it was facing an uncertain future - he helped guide the venue to continued success today.
Peter was made an MBE in 2000 for his services to theatre.
In a statement, Norwich Theatre said: "Peter’s tenure as Chief Executive of Norwich Theatre Royal from 1992-2016 marked a defining period in our history."
"His contribution over those 25 years, both to our organisation and the wider Norwich and Norfolk arts sector, was extraordinary and its impact immeasurable.
"His lasting legacy, both visible and invisible, is profound and will continue to live on through the work of Norwich Theatre, the many other organisations that benefitted from his support, and all those that he inspired."
The Theatre Royal is set to dim the lights on the front of the building for two minutes this evening, as a mark of respect to Peter.
