Sheringham FC bans two people after racist comments made towards player

A Norfolk football club's banned two people - after racist comments were made towards one of its players.

In a statement, Sheringham Football Club says they've been banned from all football and interactions with the club.

The club, which currently plays in the Eastern Counties League, also said they will not tolerate any form of discrimination, and confirmed the Norfolk FA's looking into the incident.

The club's full statement

'The club was made aware of an incident last week, which involved discrimination and threats towards one of our players.

'As soon as the club were made aware, we acted to remove two individuals involved from all football and interaction with the club.

'The player targeted has been supported by the club's management team and welfare staff.

'Norfolk FA were also made aware of the incident, and they are currently investigating the matter.

'Sheringham Football Club will not tolerate any form of discrimination.'
