Norwich City midfielder Flynn Clarke has been handed a 12 month prison sentence after admitting causing serious injury to three people during a crash last year.

The 20 year old was charged in connection with a collision in Thorney, near Peterborough, last April.

The Scotland youth international signed for the Canaries in June 2021 for Peterborough United.

He has played for Norwich's under-23s, but has never appeared for the first team.

Clarke is currently out on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge in the National League.

In a statement, a representative for Norwich said: "Norwich City notes today’s decision at Peterborough Crown Court in relation to its player, Flynn Clarke."

"Following the decision, the club will now consider the matter internally in accordance with its own disciplinary procedure."
