Five charged with hunting with dogs in Norfolk

They were arrested on private land in Beeston St Andrew

Five people have been charged with hunting with dogs in Norfolk.

It comes after police were called to private land in Beeston St Andrew off the A1270 on Monday 3 February at around 15.20pm to reports of suspicious activity and a dog running loose.

There, officers arrested five men and seized four dogs.

All five men were subsequently charged with hunting a wild mammal with a dog.

They are:

• Martin Ward, 29, of Wilks Farm Drive, Norwich

• Eoin Ward, 36, of Wilks Farm Drive, Norwich

• Eric Ward, 37, of Country Meadows, Tuam, County Galway, Ireland

• John Pio Ward, 40, of Wilks Farm Drive, Norwich

• Martin Ward, 32, of Kilcruttin, County Offaly, Ireland

John Pio Ward was also charged with possession of a locking knife in a public place

They have been released on bail and are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on 4 March 2025.
