Woman killed in collision on A143 at Thorpe Abbotts

A woman in her 40s has died following a crash on Friday night.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash involving two vehicles at around 6pm on Friday 18th December.

Officers were called to Scole Road to reports of a crash between a grey Mercedes GLC 220 and a dark coloured Ford CMAX.

Emergency services attended the scene, however the driver of the Ford, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes, also a woman in her 40s , was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed until just after midnight.

Police want to hear from anyone who have seen the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the incident, or any dashcam footage.
