Man dies in hit and run crash in Fakenham

Police have arrested the driver of the silver Mitsubishi Shogun, which drove away from the scene

A man in his 20s has died after a hit and run crash in Fakenham yesterday.

A white Honda motorbike and a silver Mitsubishi Shogun were in a collsion on Cattle Market Street, near to the junction with Bridge Street, at around 11:15pm.

The driver of the bike a man aged in his 20s, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn with life threatening injuries.

He passes away this morning. His family have been informed.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a man in his 30s, failed to stop at the scene but has now been arrested.

He's being questioned at Wymondham Police Station.
