Two Extinction Rebellion activists - including a Norwich City Councillor - have been spared jail after smashing windows at a bank in the city.

52 year old Amanda Fox, who represents the Mancroft Ward, along with 71 year old Jennifer Parkhouse were found guilty of criminal damage at King's Lynn Crown Court.

The incident occurred at a Barclays on St James Court in April 2021, and was designed to raise awareness around Barclays' investment in fossil fuels.

They'll be sentenced in November.

The judge says they'll likely face a community order.
