The Royal Norfolk Show 2024 gets underway today, with over 80 thousand visitors expected to attend the event at Norfolk Showground, Norwich over the next two days.

Running over Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th May, the Showground will be hosting a celebration of the county's best in food, farming, agriculture and local businesses - with around 700 trade stands.

Entry times

The gates open at 7am both days.

Last entry is at 7.00pm on Day 1 and 5.00pm on Day 2.

All trade-stands are open from 8.00am on both days.

Events not to miss

There's show jumping in the Grand Ring, Pig Racing, displays by the RAF Falcons and Live Music.

Full details of this year's schedule can be found here.

"There will be queues"

Speaking ahead of the gates opening, Tracey Spelman from the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association told us:

"We have plenty of drinking water taps across the site, to make sure that everyone can restock their water.

"We have our medics on site with suncream, just in case and we have several areas where there's marquees that can provide some shade.

"We'd urge everyone to dress for the weather and to make sure they bring plenty of water.

"Make sure you bring your sun-cream and leave in plenty of time, as there will be queues and it gives people enough time to get through the gates without rushing."
