A north Suffolk country estate is appealing for the return of several statues of toy soldiers which were stolen earlier this week.

Two pairs, which had been put up as Christmas decorations at the Elveden Estate, 'marched off' sometime on Tuesday night, according to staff.

Both are similar looking, although one set is clad in blue uniforms.

Staff at the estate are hoping to have the pair 'back in position' ahead of Christmas festivities later this month.
